The house is a piece of history. Built in the 17th century in Mâlain, it has been continuously extended and improved ever since.
📜 Even today, the tradition lives on : from owner to owner, clues are passed on, keepsakes are left behind and the house archives are handed down.
Its thick walls and its setting guarantee the rest you are looking for.
It is with this timeless charm that La Malinette continues to welcome you so warmly today in Burgundy.
🌲 Mâlain is surrounded by forests and several wash houses collect the springs of the surrounding hills. Take a few hours to wander the trails accessible on foot from La Malinette. We will provide you with the maps you need for your cycling or walking route. For the more adventurous, a hike to the historic site of Alésia is possible along the Roman road from the neighbouring town of Sombernon.
The nearby lakes offer wonderful swimming spots 🏊♀️, notably Grosbois-en-Montagne and Panthier. Children will love a day at the Parc de l'Auxois, a leisure park halfway between an aquapark and a natural zoo — perfect for a change of scenery and cooling off in the sun.
Finally, for food lovers, we recommend a short walk to the community farm “Champs Libres”, which offers local products such as bread baked by Cyril with wheat from the surrounding fields, craft beer and goat's cheeses from the village!
